Radiographers think critically and use independent, professional and ethical judgments in all aspects of their work.
- Some ways the technologist can maintain a high level of ethical conduct following the codes and rules of ethics, is to act professional and respond to the patient’s needs. The technologist should always act in the best interest of the patient and practice ethical conduct appropriate to the patient’s right to quality radiologic technology care.
- It is important to provide the patient with complete respect and dignity without discrimination of sex, race, and religion. It also ensures we are able to effectively communicate with our patients to be able to provide quality care and build a trusting relationship. Being aware of the patient’s ethnic background can help aid in diagnosis and improve quality patient care.
